The summer intensive of 1986 focussed on whole Body Attention using a variety of techniques. Men attending participated in a morning exercise of cross gender dressing--dressing and making themselves up as women, and behaving as women do--for the purpose of experiencing a different set of habits. Mr. Gold speaks of the enormous pressure in primate life towards routinization and the maintenance of equilibrium in order to avoid threat; sexual threat being the greatest of all.
